The American Nationalist must rise, the European nationalist must bend.
There is a strange sort of disease threatening the American Right.
It is a weeping, sympathy for our ideological “cousins” across the Atlantic.
Whether they be nationalists, populists, or anti-globalists, the right wing of Europe from Paris to Berlin to Rome is awash with those crying foul about strongman politics in the United States!
Specifically, they are furious that a conservative, nationalist American administration is currently grinding their own nationalist ambitions into dust. They look at the White House and see a betrayal. They thought “America First” meant “Every Nation First.” They thought we were all on the same team, fighting a global battle against the woke, the stateless, and the bureaucratic.
They were wrong. And if you are an American nationalist who feels a twinge of guilt about the way we are currently strong-arming the European Right, you are wrong too.
Nationalism is not a team sport. It is a zero-sum game. And in 2026, the success of American Nationalism requires the failure of European Nationalism.
Europe: A marketplace run by our material vassals
The confusion stems from a basic category error. American conservatives look at the Alternative für Deutschland (AfD) or the Rassemblement National (RN) and see mirror images of themselves: skepticism of immigration, rejection of green energy dogmas, and a desire for sovereignty.
But listen to what they are actually saying now that the rubber has met the road.
When the US administration floated the purchase of Greenland who shrieked loudest? There was the liberal diplomat in Brussels shouting, sure, but alongside him was the so-called European nationalist shouting just the same:
I disagree. The American is the enemy of Europe. Doesn't matter if it's Yalta or Kosovo or Greenland. It's plainly evident now that this is the case, and the hope placed in Trump (which was our last chance) has been all for naught. https://t.co/83X9yMALeq

When we slapped tariffs on their luxury goods to protect American industry, they didn’t applaud our protectionism; they called it “economic warfare.”
A “sovereign” Europe (even a right-wing, anti-woke one) is a geopolitical nightmare for the United States.
A Europe that truly puts its own interests first would not buy American LNG at a premium; it would cut a deal with Russia. A Europe that prioritized its own industrial base would not buy the F-35; it would build its own fighters, killing American defense jobs in the process.
Hegemon’s Dilemma
To understand why the current administration is right to crush European autonomy, you have to look at the “Hegemon’s Dilemma.” We need allies strong enough to man the ramparts against Russia and China, but not so strong that they don’t need us.
Our strategy, laid out in the corridors of the Pentagon and the NSC, is simple: We support Faux-Nationalism, and we crush Genuine Nationalism.
Genuine Nationalism is what the French want, the Spanish are curious about and Germans wanted until we kneecapped them with the Nord Stream play.
Genuine Nationalism requires industrial autonomy which is the ability to build tanks, chips, and jets without US permission or supply chain support. It means holding the keys to your own strategic ambiguity. Would a sovereign Europe go to war with China for us? This is the sort of question that isn’t worth discovering in vivo.
It’s the discussion of a vassal transforming into a rival and it cannot be tolerated.
Faux-Nationalism is what we cultivate in places like Poland and Ukraine. Look at Warsaw. They are fiercely patriotic, militaristic, and anti-Russian. They tick every box for the American conservative. But crucially, they are structurally hollow. Their tanks are American M1 Abrams. Their air force is American F-35s. Their energy comes from American LNG terminals.
Their nationalism is loud, aggressive, and useful, but the trigger is held in Washington.
American Hegemony is the only way for the American Nationalist
The European Right wants to break free from this arrangement. They want a “Europe of Nations” that can stand on its own two feet.
Why on earth would any “America First” patriot support that?
If the European Right succeeds, they will launch projects like the Future Combat Air System (FCAS) to replace American jets. They will enforce data sovereignty laws that lock Google and Palantir out of European servers. They will pursue a détente with Moscow to lower their energy bills, undercutting our LNG exports.
Every step they take toward “restoring their nation” is a step away from American control.
The current administration understands this. That is why we are using tools like the CLOUD Act to force their tech companies under our jurisdiction. It’s why we used the F-35 to kill their indigenous aerospace industry. It is why we blew up their energy integration with Eurasia and forced them to buy from Texas.
We must continue to turn the European core into a colony, a collective market run by our vassals, while we arm the “frontier” of Poland, Ukraine, and eventually Japan.
Stop the pity
We are the Empire. They are the provinces.
If they were strong enough to stop us, they would. But they aren’t. And as an American nationalist, that should be music to your ears. The weakness of the European Right is the proof of American strength. Don’t apologize for winning.
