Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) announced the arrest of six individuals in the Houston area during enforcement operations conducted in late July. According to the agency, these six individuals collectively account for 48 criminal convictions and 42 instances of illegal entry into the United States.
Operation Details
The arrests were conducted between July 29-30 as part of enhanced enforcement efforts by multiagency targeting teams. These teams were established to focus on individuals designated as “worst of the worst” cases, prioritizing public safety and border security concerns.
“For the past 20 years, these six violent criminal aliens have brazenly violated our nation’s immigration and criminal laws, wreaking havoc in our local communities and leaving countless victims in their wake,” said Gabriel Martinez, acting Field Office Director for ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations Houston.
ICE issued the following statement about the offenders:
The six criminal aliens arrested included:
- Oscar Moran Valle, a 43-year-old criminal alien from Mexico and documented Paisas gang member, arrested by ICE July 29. He illegally entered the U.S. 12 times and been convicted of 11 criminal offenses, including three convictions for illegal entry, two for DWI, and one each for drug possession, larceny, giving a false ID to law enforcement, illegal reentry and driving without a license.
- Thanh Van Nguyen, a 53-year-old criminal alien from Vietnam, arrested by ICE July 29. He illegally entered the U.S. and has been convicted of nine criminal offenses, including three convictions for burglary, two for larceny and assault, and one for obstructing police and damaging private property.
- Alex Salomon Reyes-Chavez, a 46-year-old criminal alien from Honduras, arrested by ICE July 30. He illegally entered the U.S. five times and has been convicted of seven criminal offenses, including two convictions for burglary and heroin possession, and one for grand theft auto, cocaine trafficking and illegal reentry
- Marvin Javier Marquez Celaya, a 38-year-old criminal alien from Honduras, arrested by ICE July 30. He illegally entered the U.S. five times and has been convicted of eight criminal offenses, including three convictions for burglary, two for cocaine possession, and one each for larceny, domestic violence and illegal reentry.
- Angel Bonilla Barahona, a 38-year-old criminal alien from Honduras, arrested by ICE July 29. He illegally entered the U.S. seven times and has been convicted of seven criminal offenses, including three convictions for assault, and one each for resisting arrest, criminal mischief, flight to avoid arrest and illegal reentry.
- Jose Angel Munoz Saucedo, a 40-year-old criminal alien from Mexico, arrested by ICE July 30. He illegally entered the U.S. 12 times and been convicted of eight criminal offenses, including four convictions for DWI, two for illegal entry, and one for fleeing from a police officer.
The arrests were made by multiagency targeting teams established under the current administration to bolster public safety, national security and border security by targeting the “worst of the worst” dangerous criminal aliens for arrest and removal.
