Nerve News exists to provide fearless, accurate reporting on the forces shaping America's economic future. We cover trade policy, domestic manufacturing, geopolitics, and the decisions that determine whether this country builds or declines. Our editorial voice is unapologetically pro-American, but our reporting standards are universal.
Editorial Independence
Our newsroom operates with complete editorial independence. No advertiser, sponsor, or partner has any influence over our editorial decisions. Our reporting is driven by the facts and our commitment to accountability, regardless of political party or corporate affiliation.
When we use AI tools to assist in drafting or research, we disclose it. Every AI-assisted article is reviewed and edited by a human editor before publication. Our editorial constitution governs how AI may be used in our workflow.
Accuracy & Corrections
We strive for accuracy in every piece we publish. When we get something wrong, we correct it promptly and transparently:
- Corrections are noted at the top of the article with an explanation of what was changed and when.
- Clarifications are added when our original reporting was technically accurate but potentially misleading.
- Retractions are issued in the rare case that a story's central claim proves unfounded.

Sources & Attribution
We rely on primary sources whenever possible — government filings, corporate reports, direct interviews, and official data. When we use secondary sources, we link to them and verify their claims independently.
We protect confidential sources who face genuine risk of retaliation. We do not grant anonymity as a convenience — it must be earned by the significance of the information and the credibility of the source.
Conflicts of Interest
Our journalists and editors are required to disclose any financial interests, relationships, or affiliations that could create a conflict of interest. Writers may not cover companies or industries in which they hold significant financial positions.
Advertising & Sponsorship
Advertising and sponsored content are clearly labeled and visually distinct from editorial content. Sponsors have no input on our reporting. "Sponsored" sections reflect the sponsor's views, not ours, and are always marked accordingly.
Opinion vs. Reporting
We maintain a clear distinction between news reporting and opinion/analysis. News articles are categorized separately from opinion pieces, and each is labeled clearly. Our reporters present facts; our columnists and editorial board present arguments.
AI Transparency
We believe in transparency about how artificial intelligence is used in journalism:
- AI-generated drafts are always reviewed and substantially edited by human editors.
- Articles that relied significantly on AI assistance are labeled accordingly.
- Our editorial AI operates under a written constitution that enforces our standards, including bias detection, fact-checking requirements, and tone guidelines.
- AI is never the sole author of any published article — a human always has final say.
Accountability
