Iran’s military leadership has declared its intention to continue fighting 'until complete victory,' despite suffering heavy losses in a joint U.S.-Israeli military campaign. Maj. Gen. Ali Abdollahi Aliabadi, spokesman for Iran’s Khatam-al Anbiya Central Headquarters, made the statement Tuesday, underscoring Tehran’s resolve as its forces face mounting pressure from Operation Epic Fury.
Operation Epic Fury Takes Toll on Iranian Forces
The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) reported Monday that Operation Epic Fury, launched on February 28, has resulted in the destruction or damage of more than 140 Iranian naval vessels. The campaign has also included over 9,000 combat flights targeting critical Iranian military infrastructure, including air defense systems, anti-ship missile sites, and facilities involved in ballistic missile and drone manufacturing.
"CENTCOM forces are striking targets to dismantle the Iranian regime’s security apparatus, prioritizing locations that pose an imminent threat," CENTCOM said in a statement.
Trump’s Strategy and Diplomatic Pause
President Donald Trump, who paused planned U.S. strikes on Iran Monday citing diplomatic progress, emphasized the overwhelming success of the campaign. "Their Navy's gone, their Air Force is gone, their anti-aircraft is all gone," Trump said Friday, adding that Iranian leadership has been significantly weakened.
Despite Iran’s defiant rhetoric, U.S. forces continue to target key military assets, raising questions about Tehran’s capacity to sustain prolonged conflict. The campaign highlights the U.S. commitment to safeguarding its interests and allies in the region while maintaining pressure on adversarial regimes.
