President Trump fired back at critics of his Iran policy Monday, using Truth Social to dismiss claims that he is under pressure to broker a deal with Tehran. As the ceasefire deadline looms, Trump emphasized that "Time is not my adversary" in negotiations, vowing to secure a "FAR BETTER" agreement than the 2015 nuclear deal brokered by former President Obama.

Israel and Iran

Trump denied that Israel influenced the U.S. to engage in conflict with Iran, stating, "Israel never talked me into the war with Iran." He reiterated his stance that Iran must never possess nuclear weapons, calling Obama's Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) a "dangerous" pathway to nuclear armament.

Media Criticism

The President accused the media of "rooting for Iran to win," asserting that their efforts would fail because he remains "in charge." He also dismissed reports of mounting pressure to reach an agreement, declaring, "I am under no pressure whatsoever."

Ceasefire Deadline

U.S. and Iranian negotiators are currently engaged in peace talks in Pakistan ahead of the ceasefire agreement's expiration Tuesday night. Tensions remain high as Iran closed the Strait of Hormuz over the weekend, a critical global supply route, while U.S. forces seized an Iranian-flagged cargo ship attempting to bypass a naval blockade in the Gulf of Oman.

"The DEAL that we are making with Iran will be FAR BETTER than the JCPOA," Trump wrote. "It was a guaranteed Road to a Nuclear Weapon, which will not, and cannot, happen with the Deal we're working on."

The President framed his approach as a necessary correction to decades of failed policies, stating, "It will all happen, relatively quickly."
