President Donald Trump publicly chastised U.S. allies for their lack of support in the escalating conflict with Iran, urging them to "go get your own oil" as tensions continue to disrupt global energy markets. The President's comments come amid rising fuel prices, with the average U.S. gas price surpassing $4 a gallon, driven by Iran's closure of the Strait of Hormuz and its attacks on regional oil infrastructure.

The Strait of Hormuz, a critical waterway for global oil transport, has become a focal point of the conflict, with Tehran's actions causing significant volatility in international oil markets. Brent crude prices soared to $107 a barrel on Tuesday, marking a 45% increase since the war began on February 28.

"You’ll have to start learning how to fight for yourself, the U.S.A. won’t be there to help you anymore, just like you weren’t there for us. Iran has been, essentially, decimated. The hard part is done. Go get your own oil!" Trump wrote.

Trump singled out France for refusing to allow U.S. military planes to use its territory for operations linked to the conflict, despite assurances that the flights were not for offensive purposes. Spain and Italy have also distanced themselves, with Spain closing its airspace to U.S. military operations and Italy denying access to its Sigonella air base for conflict-related activities.

Meanwhile, the conflict has taken a toll on civilian infrastructure and lives, with over 3,000 reported fatalities and significant disruptions to global trade. Trump warned that if a ceasefire is not reached soon, the U.S. may expand its offensive, targeting Iran’s Kharg Island oil export hub and potentially its desalination plants.

The President’s remarks highlight growing frustration with allies’ reluctance to share the burden of a conflict that has far-reaching economic consequences, particularly for American workers already grappling with inflation and rising energy costs.
