WASHINGTON, D.C. – Iranian negotiators have sent a private, direct warning to Vice President JD Vance, accusing Trump administration Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and presidential son-in-law Jared Kushner of undermining ongoing diplomatic efforts with Tehran for personal profit, according to a senior regime official.

The warning, transmitted through an intermediary during the late June talks in Lucerne, Switzerland, alleges that the two envoys are more focused on exploiting their insider knowledge of the negotiations for financial market speculation than on securing a durable agreement. The claims, sourced from an anonymous senior Iranian official, immediately raise questions about the integrity of the negotiating team and whose interests are truly being served.

Foreign Lobbying and Financial Conflicts

The core accusation from Tehran targets the intersection of private business and foreign policy. The Iranian message specifically charged that Witkoff and Kushner’s presence poisons the chance for a lasting deal stemming from the June 17 framework. For American workers and the domestic economy, any deviation from national interest in favor of individual financial gain represents a profound breach of trust, one that squanders leverage and risks stability. The allegations demand a full accounting of any personal financial positions these envoys hold that could be impacted by the talks’ progress.

Iran conveyed to Vance that the pair were more interested in exploiting insider knowledge of the negotiations to profit in financial markets than they were in reaching a deal.

Further complicating the envoy’s role are concerns over intelligence security. The Iranian official cited repeated leaks from Kushner to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. This aligns with an Axios report confirming a U.S. official stated that since negotiations began, Witkoff and Kushner “talk almost every day to Netanyahu” and the head of Mossad. This cozy backchannel to a foreign government, whose interests are not inherently those of the United States and whose lobby exerts undeniable influence over Washington, directly undermines the American negotiating position and prioritizes a foreign power's agenda over American security and economic sovereignty.

The Vice President’s office has not yet responded to a request for comment on the Iranian warning. Until these allegations of market manipulation and foreign collusion are addressed with transparent and named factual sources, the American public is left in the dark about the fundamental aims of these critical negotiations.
