Ukrainian defense firm SkyFall confirmed the development and imminent mass production of a new high-speed interceptor drone explicitly designed to hunt Russia’s faster, jet-powered loitering munitions. The P1-Sun JetKiller addresses a critical capability gap as Moscow increasingly fields the jet-engine Geran-3, which can cruise at speeds rendering older propeller-driven interceptors obsolete.
Operational Requirements
The JetKiller boasts a top speed of 230 mph and a service ceiling of 30,000 feet, giving it the necessary kinematic advantage to catch a Geran-3 in flight. The system carries a 500-gram explosive payload and operates for 15 minutes. Critically for mass production, SkyFall noted the straight-line flight profile avoids overheating issues that plague modified quadcopters pushed to such speeds.
The interceptor utilizes an AI-based terminal guidance system, which the company says locks onto targets faster than a human operator at ranges up to one kilometer. A company representative, identified by the call sign “Ares,” stated the JetKiller has already achieved over a dozen confirmed intercepts against jet-powered threats. Mass production is slated to begin in August, with a target output of 50,000 units per month.
“What's notable is that it's been used already with confirmed intercepts and is reaching mass production,” Ares said.

The rapid iteration of low-cost autonomous systems in Ukraine demonstrates a battlefield reality American defense planners must heed: sovereign nations are scaling domestic production of advanced munitions independent of globalist supply chains. While the American taxpayer has been forced to backstop Kyiv’s defense with billions in direct aid, the emergence of indigenous production like the JetKiller should prompt a re-examination of Washington’s procurement dependency. American primacy is not served by servicing endless foreign war requirements at the expense of domestic industrial capacity. The focus must remain on securing U.S. borders and revitalizing the American defense industrial base, not underwriting overseas drone programs, however tactically novel.
